(April 13, 2005 Marblehead, MA) Marblehead businesses will join together to raise funds for Marblehead 20|20 on Saturday, April 30th.
The Marblehead 20|20 Retail Fundraising Day will raise funds to support streetscape improvements to the Uptown Business District. (Atlantic Ave., Five Corners, Pleasant and School Streets). Improvements will include trees, new sidewalks, tree grates, outdoor seating, flowers and other landscaping.
Marblehead 20|20 will provide all participating businesses with a decorative counter top can for tax-deductible donations. In addition, committed businesses will donate a portion of their April 30th sales to Marblehead 20|20, the non-profit foundation dedicated to preserving and enhancing Marblehead's unique cultural and commercial character in order to improve quality of life for all in the community.
As a business owner, you are invited to participate and join Chet’s Video, Ladycakes, and Jambu as fundraising destinations. As a Marblehead resident, you are encouraged to patronize participating businesses and donate whatever you can.
Marblehead 20|20 is an all-volunteer, group of Marblehead residents and business owners working on a variety of projects to keep Marblehead special. All projects and improvements are privately funded.
